One: CAD Design Team
Our product design team uses Pro/Engineer 3D CAD
& CAM software with advanced surfacing capabilities
to produce aesthetically pleasing mold and assure
that it can be efficiently manufactured.
A Typical Project Processes
The customer identifies a need for a part or
product. (We can also evaluate a customer's
products and identify where a new design would
affect product improvement or cost savings.)
B. DSC Mold engineering team meets with the
customer to understand the requirements and
discuss the best way to develop the part.
C. If the customer wishes to proceed with a
design, specific design parameters are agreed
upon by both parties. The Customer agrees to
pay for the design service and the tooling to
produce the parts, or they can agree to purchase
a specific number of parts at an agreed from
one of DSC Mold manufacturingˇ¦s partner s in
return for the design services.
D. Once the design meets the parameters agreed
upon, the actual designing starts. Blueprints
will be sent to customers for evaluation and
confirmation.
Step Two: NC Programming Team
Before the shaping of the mold begins, we must
translate the digital data of three dimensional
(X, Y, & Z) into a language understood by
the machines. Our NC programming team is comprised
of three programmers with an average of 15 years..
By combining our software ability, hardware
precision, and engineering experience, DSC Mold
is capable of reducing the overall mold development
lead-time by 40%.
Step Three: Mold Manufacturing Team
The DSC Mold manufacturing team consists of
30 operators of high-speed metalworking machines
and 100 technicians who do the fitting and mold
assembling. DSC Mold constantly educates the
technicians to ensure all of the finished molds
meet the customersˇ¦ standards for quality and
excellence.
